Oh, honey. Moving cross-country like that is NOT simple, it's not something to just be hand-waved away with "at least you have a job!"

It's unsettling and new and annoying and with kids, it's even more... well, fun might not be the right word.

Yes, it is great he's gotten a job offer. But being away from everything you know is not so fun. *snuggles*

But! You can always show the kidlet how fun snow is. =D

Buuuut I'm jealous you'll be in Chicago. I love that city. It's where I was born, after all, & it's home of the best pizza on earth.

I totally know where you're coming from - having done exactly that in 2005.

Having said that, in retrospect, I'm SO GRATEFUL I made the move now.. but you're right, it's not easy.

You are totally entitled to feel however it is you feel. Feel your feelings. If you stuff them down inside, it will fester and at some point break out in ugly puss. Not good for relationships. Or little shiplets.

That said, do you have a choice? I mean, yes, financial ruin is a choice... but if things are that serious money-wise... Also, will they be helping with moving costs? Cuz that can get pricy, too.
