So last night, after worrying about making a mistake at work which I later found out was not a problem at all and my admitting to it made them trust me more, I was thinking about picking up a sack of the special cat food for senior cats to bring home and maybe help Lucy out a little. She has lived with me in the Seattle house ever since my family

Upon a more in depth explanation, it seems Lucy killed herself.
She laid herself down under the tire of the neighbor's friend's parked car, and after being removed once sneaked back later and waited for the car to start. She was not killed instantly and apparently stared at my mom letting out a silent scream. The neighbor's friend was horrified, he was a cat lover.
