I love your post.

"All the shitty spelling, grammer, and incomplete sentences was an attemt to gain attention" this part in particular.

It's spelled "grammar" and "sentences was" is terrible grammar. You might want to check your own sentences before criticizing anyone else.

Hey detective dipshit! "was" is the proper word to use in this situation because it is written in the past tense. shitty spelling was...grammar was...

I find it hard to believe that you rip someone for a 1 letter mistake and a grammar "mistake" when the original journal was in and of itself a piece of shit.

Go choke on a rock.

I'm brewing up another "project" in a similar vein. I'll post the link on the frontpage when it's ready for "review". :-)

Quick question vanquishedheart October 29 2004, 11:49:21 UTC
Did you plan for the link to be posted on collegehumor.com and the computer programing website? If so, were you able to track which posters were linked here through which website? It seems to me like the two websites attract quite a different crowd. Those of us from collegehumor.com are generally looking for humorous articles and pictures. In other words were are looking for simple entertainment. So many would assume that the those who linked here from collegehumor.com would react differently from those who were linked from the programming website. I was curious if your dissertation was going to cover this. I am rather ignorant when it comes to computer technology so I'm not sure if you were able to sort out who came from which site.

Initially, the site got posted to Slashdot and a huge influx of "geek"-esq posts came in. The referral article was one about the LiveJournal server software being open-source. A week or two later, CollegeHumor and a bunch of other Internet portals got a hold of the link and the less... "impressive"... posts came in. Lots of goatse posts (which I deleted). Unfortunately, I can't track URL referrals (I think you can with the pay version of LJ), but I think the majority of my traffic came from sites like CollegeHumor.com and Keyboard and Sickle.

Someone on LJdrama posted a link...it wasn't "featured", but a couple (me, at least) found you through there...

I've never seen a referrals thing through LJ. You could probably just post a website tracker, like, Extreme Tracking.

I found the hatred supposedly liberal people were spewing slightly disturbing, but not entirely surprising. Good effort, sk8erchikhottie. :)
