Okay. So, today in class I felt like actually speaking up, since we were learning about personality from a social psychologist's perspective (and we all know how interested I am in personality...). It was fascinating seeing a different approach to the subject. Anyway, at one point, I spoke up to say something against the teacher's opinion, ( Read more... )

Yyyeah... she should've handled that better. Since you asked about other research, it really sounded like you were genuinely interested in learning more about her theory, which should be welcomed in a classroom. Who knows, though, maybe she's had other students who believed they knew more than she did, and tried to correct her, rather than learn more. So it's possible she might've misinterpreted what you said to be doing the same thing. Even if that was the case, though, she should still act professionally and be ready to give reasons to back up her views. orz

I'm curious as to what the teacher was saying about personality, though. I also love to learn about personalities.

Uh, yeah. If someone says something that's not a fact, it's a theory, they should expect there to be evidence that could disprove that theory. I was just curious on if there was anything that could disprove what I was saying, or say what she was saying in a different way that would fit with my situation.

You should take Social Psychology~!

Hn. Maybe. Especially if something like this happens again. And if I care enough about this matter tomorrow.

I don't know about apathy...I think my problem is laziness, and I'm not a fan of confronting in general.

I also have better things to worry about than this shit.

*huggles* We were just learning in my Education class tonight about how teachers need to be open-minded and that it's okay to say you don't know the answer...
