No, I rarely mention my family history, but I find it very interesting. In another life, I used to run econometric models on Union Army recruits in the Civil War, which in part involved pouring over 1880 census data as well as other historical records (e.g., surgeon letters). It was very interesting. I was fortunate to have large databases at my hands to look into my own family ancestry as well.
