Order of the Phoenix

Sorry. It just wasn't that good. Nothing like the book which is annoying, but could be understandable, if they had left some things the same that wouldn't have added extra time etc... (I don't think that made sense in those words, but I don't feel like explaining it more). I felt like nothing had any detail or depth to it. Even if it hadn't ( Read more... )

I was expecting to still cry at Sirius' death like I did when I read it, and I almost cried when Arthur was getting beat up, but surprisingly I didn't even feel like crying when he died... because they hadn't built up the character. Plus, the way they did it it doesn't really click that he's dead to me.

It was alright as a movie, but none of the Harry Potter movies have really impressed me for any reason...maybe the first one.

Yeah, the first couple are ok because the stories aren't as long so they don't feel like they have to shorten them as much. And yeah, I'm with you on that other stuff. There's no attachment or feeling for the characters in the movie cause they don't give you a change.

I feel the same. It was hard to get attached. And the whole St. Mungo's thing was gone. That was some serious bonding time with Neville and such. Just..so much was completely cut out. The building UP TO Umbridge getting high inquisitor, the weasley's leaving the bog, QUIDDICH entirely, etc. I know it's a crazy long book, but rather than try and fit it all in for brief moments, they would have done better to focus on one aspect and really get you close to that. Personally, I think Sirius should have been a much bigger focus.
