Today, as I was leaving Diffenbaugh (where I teach), I saw this guy's t-shirt.  The t-shirt disturbed me quite a bit.  This what it said "Racism causes Cancer."  While I understand the social message behind this, I don't think that it's a workable comparison.  The first thing that came to mind was "I don't think my mom got cancer because she was ( Read more... )

thank you very very much. my mom has definitely acknowledged all the prayers she had received.

Kids are dumb, a lot. But it is extra dumb to wear a shirt that makes a disjunctive statement about something that touches so many people.

So glad about the surgery. I hope more comfort comes to your mom soon. She deserves it!
