No, I didn't go away, and didn't abandon LJ for Dreamwidth.  It's just that I was slammed this past week at the day job, which mean that I was busy other times as well, dealing with some of the detrius from it.  (We estimated that something would take about 10 hours and it ended up taking 30).

My back doesn't seem to be hurting as much  today (or this weekend), but at least today, it's been rather constantly aching.  Driving for more than a little bit makes it ache more -- even the 18 mile commute this morning.  I'm glad that we don't have any SCA events  that we're going to for a few weeks ( Read more... )

Haven't been nearly as productive this week as I'd like, either at work or at home -- my back has been killing me.  Went to the Chiro on Wednesday and I think that helped, but it still hurts.  The muscles are really sore.  Reminds me that I need to make an appointment for next week...

I was fine for most of yesterday, but from about dinner on, my back was giving me fits -- enough so that I could barely move without a great deal of pain.  It got better later on, but that was likely due to the combination of painkillers and muscle relaxant that I took.  It feels better today, but still hurts.

I'm wearing my favorite shirt today.  I got it at Disney when we were there 3 weeks ago, at the Rain Forest Cafe shop.  Kind of ironic that -- didn't like the restaurant at all, but the t-shirt is great.  It beats out my other favorites -- the one that says "I failed the Turing Test" and the one with "Schrodinger's Cat is Dead" on the front and " ( Read more... )

This weekend was busy, but not in the way that I might have preferred.  What I wanted to do was to spend the weekend relaxing and working on my writing.  What I did was to spend Saturday working on Freelance stuff all day, and a bit on Sunday, and then spend the rest of Sunday playing plumber around the house ( Read more... )

So awhile back, my doctor said that the ache in my right hip was probably arthritis and that I could probably treat it just fine with ibuprofen.  Nice to know what it was, but not so nice to have something else that made me feel old ( Read more... )
