I always assumed the child was named after the fruit, but now that I think about it, wouldn't it be kind of scary/funny if she was named after a computer?

heheh.. the thing I read said that she thought flowers and trees and naturey things like were beautiful... and fruit.. fruit is beautiful.. in that sort of "still life" vision of a perfectly peaceful, happy scene ... and she thought naming her daughter Apple was no different than, say, Violet or something... Because Apples are beautiful, too.
