Long, romantic, and feelgood, for your February 14 reading pleasure -- a very few selected stories. From (surprise!) several fandoms. Still, leading off with... ♥ ♥ ♥ ( Read more... )
*bounces* These sound wonderful, hon! A bit too long for me (I prefer less than 10,000 words so I can actually finish a story in one read every now and then) but I doubt that'll stop me in these cases.
Also, you are NOT going to get me to reread EDIEW. Nope. It's been months since I last reread it, I still recall all the details by heart. No rereading for me, no sir. ...Maybe I'll just rewatch the trailer vid. XD
Hee, I read a lot of under 5-10,000 word stories, but I really like 15,000-30,000 word stories so I can get immersed for a bit (when I have time) without having to hunt down another shiny story to read too soon. ;) And longer ones are perfect for a quiet evening or weekend afternoon. Anyhow, hope you enjoy (the podfics of?) some of these!
As for EDIEW, yes, yes, you can remain strong! that's what I told myself. and failed of course, but eh, it was such a nice re-read. :)
Absolutely -- and virtual valentine's day chocolates too! :)
Hee, am surprised you found this post (and I can't quite remember the breadcrumbs I followed to get to your LJ, but I'm glad I did). Thanks for writing your stories -- I've read far fewer SPN (or actually anything else) than SGA fics, but you seem to have unusual, intriguing takes on certain fandom-favorite tropes that you execute well in terms of both plotting and interesting characterizations. Tasty... And I saw you have several sequels in the works, cool!
I might have been *coughs* whining at someone who directed me here. I'm glad you have enjoyed the fic! Writing has been more amusing that I expected it to be on the whole. As for sequels... *sighs* yeah. After this current round I think I'm going to try experimenting with the "stand alone" story model. I have so many ideas gnawing on my ankle! I like continuing stories, but I need to carve myself more space to do some more first line fics. I used to read SGA exclusively before I wandered over to SPN, I had a bunch of ideas, but didn't do any writing then. Maybe one day... (with an infinite of time!)
Oh dear, I hope the whine was happily resolved with good things! Like wine, or chocolate, or something else fun.
I certainly did enjoy/am enjoying them, and am (selfishly) very pleased the writing has been amusing to you. Hope it continues to do so, whether as standalones or Epic Series or whatever else inspires you. :) (And oh the idea of infinite time that sometimes sounds so handy... but then fanfic teaches us that maybe it's really not always so great...?)
Awww, thank you. I just finished "Old Country", which I would never have read without your rec, and now I feel like curling up with a blanket and hot cocoa and smiling to the image of Dean and Sam in the Impala with twenty Hufflepuff kids in the back.
I loved Dean and the Hufflepufs! -- glad it sounds like you got the same feelgood vibe from that story I did. :) (*looks around for ingredients to make hot chocolate*)
