Sewing Room Organization?

Aug 12, 2008 12:40

How do the sewers on my f-list manage keeping an organized sewing area?
I'm lucky to have a small nook for my sewing, but its still always in an insane state of stuff-

How do you store your patterns so they stay nice and neat?

Where/ how do you store your completed projects?

Any neat and nifty organization tools you have found that work wonders?

A filing cabinet is a great way to store patterns.

I sort everything into plastic bins, then stack the bins in one corner.

I don't really complete projects, so storing them hasn't been an issue ;-)

Sorry so late; WorldCon took longer to recover from than I thought!

I fold my patterns into larger rectangles than they started in, slide them into a folder, and keep them in those plastic magazine holders.

Both my holders and plastic bins are on shelves; I used to stack them, but I got old & lazy and bought shelves.
