My comment is in regards to Robert Pelloni's "Bob's Game", which came to my attention through various gaming websites (IGN.com, Kotaku, etc). I would love to be able to play Bob's Game and I would like to see Nintendo grant Robert Pelloni an authorized developer's license so that he can get his game published. Peter Molyneaux actually had to trick Nintendo into giving him an SDK to make Populous. Bob might have an easier time making an iPhone app.

How does that explain EA (or insert name of dev you hate here)?
Maybe he ought to try to go the route of WiiWare, or XBLA, or the iPhone, or Android. Making a game for Nintendo's main platform, I would assume, is a tough sell.

And how does that explain EA (or THQ more so)? Sufficiently large companies can do anything. Incidentally, I've come to enjoy the fruits of EA's conscious efforts to be more creative: Skate, Dead Space, and Mirror's Edge (the concept, at least) in particular.
He is pursuing other platforms (and I'm glad), but his original vision (as explained on his website) was to make a "Nintendo game" for a "Nintendo platform". From what I've seen of the game, I can understand why. And yes, I'm sure it's a tough sell on a Nintendo platform.
To add insult to injury is Nintendo's own propaganda: claiming that DS also stood for the developer's system. What a piece of marketing garbage!
