You may as well move NIN and Snoop up to the must-see list.

Ha. We'll see. At least there's no Kanye, right?

Not only is there no Kanye, I found this:

Phish will play two shows - a full two-set performance as well as an additional late-evening set - at the 2009 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival.

The good news is that a two-set performance will probably go down on Sunday night to close out the main stage, with the late-night either on the main stage or the smaller stage.

What rules about that is that it'll let me get out of dodge earlier on Sunday (we usually leave mid-afternoon on Sunday) *and* it'll reduce the possible late-night conflicts that I inevitably have every year.

I can already smell a conflict with Oakenfold, I'm just not sure who it'll be. He'll probably spin into sunrise, though, so I doubt that it'll be much of a problem.

I can sleep through the Springsteen set (I'm thinking Saturday night) in preparation for the Saturday late-night shows.

Man ... This is going to be my third Bonnaroo and I'm more excited about it than I have been about the previous two.

my friend jason told me that MGMT sucks live. he was disappointed...so i guess that means that he's not just saying that to say it.

i really only want to see wilco, but i don't know if it's worth the drive.

There aren't words for how badly I want to go. I mean, really- Merle Haggard, Beastie Boys, and Snoop Dogg. People don't understand. Those three are amazing names in popular music. And, well- the freaking Boss and the Reverend. Seriously, there are a lot of top-notch picks on this year's line-up. I have a feeling Beastie Boys and Snoop Dogg will want to make Kanye look like an extra-big puss for the stunt he pulled last year. (I'm still mad about it.)

I don't know why I'm talking like I'm gonna go. I may buy a ticket for cheap and crash a friend's camp. A few sisters are already talking about buying tickets. I just loved it so freaking much last year and I want to go again so bad.

I'm mostly adverse to larger acts, but I can't deny the Boss or the Beastie Boys. Or Al Green. Snoop Dogg could be amusing, but I'm more neutral to him. I do like his new music much more than his 90s output.

But seriously, the real reasons to go are David Byrne, TV on the Radio, MGMT, Crystal Castles, Girl Talk, etc. I even think Santogold could put on a good show, hopefully with live animals and girls doing the double-dutch.

Seriously, I look at what I'll be paying for the ticket... and I think that it'd cost that much to see two of the major acts. All the small-time ones are big bonuses.

And don't judge Bonnaroo by BSJ. It's two different worlds.

haha yours is the list i most agree with so far...except i'd push snoop dog (COME ON!) and wilco to the "check out list"

although, if i did miss wilco i wouldn't be too upset cause i've seen them a few times. and i do like ted leo's older stuff. and if if nin still plays "closer" omg that would be hot live haha...

lucky for me you guys run the record store, then =)

Andy's always had good taste in music and I don't think he'd marry below himself, especially in that area (that's a complement and hopefully doesn't come across as backhanded). I remember in middle school he had a Dinosaur Jr. shirt that he wore for gym class. I, on the other hand, had no idea who that was at the time.

The NIN show could be really good, not gonna lie. I'm just cautiously optimistic about that kind of thing since I'm so out of touch with what Trent Reznor's doing these days.

I admittedly don't know much about Ted Leo, but one of my hipster girls is in love with the guy.

Wilco has my cautious optimism. If I can watch that one from a lawn chair with a six-pack, I'll probably enjoy it more.
