WOW! What a day. I really loved seeing the children under 10 getting right into it. Amazing stuff. Gabrielle (11) got up on open mic- with lyrics he wrote himself. He did read off paper- but he kept to the beats. Well done dude! Claybones (16) whom I've played on Aussie Bar-B-Que got up on the open mic. Some amazing dancing. Holy cows going to hip hop gigs is so much fun. Loads of stuff to entertain ya. QUICK change overs. The Serenity are one of my fav local acts. I'm old school - I like seeing a band. I love the beats- but there's something special about seeing a band. Bezza's flute- gives such a beauiful feel. The indigenous guys often speak about land rights, the treatment of their people and culture in "white" Australia. I get into these lyrics a lot.
