OMG. Morella just yapped something from her room. It's 9:00!! I am ready for bed! I figure I could indulge in a little reverse sleeping in since today was so long and arduous

oh my god..I have a couple memories of myself just being such a brat about my Christmas presents. One year my mom got me this nightgown/robe combo that matched the one my friend got..or so I thought. My friend's parents had more money than us, and she got the real Lanza (I think that's the brand?), and I saw mine right after Christmas at the drug store by our house. It was a fake! I was so upset, I cried, and I was so mad at my mom. I feel horrible when I remember that. I'm sure my mom would have gotten me the nice one if she could have..and she was just trying to get me what she thought I wanted..How sad :(
Oh, and I wasn't into Barbie either. We actually weren't allowed to have them! My mom was anti-Barbie :)
I definitely remember some similar Christmas times. It's almost as if my mom bought for her kidself more than mine sometimes. Luckily my dad also bought me the Transformers I wanted too. :)
I remember Christmas at 10 years old, specifically. It was as if, without warning, the adults at my extended family party (with all the cousins) ha decided that 10 years old was "You're too big to get presents anymore." I would have been ok ha someone actually explained this to me, but as Santa passed out all the presents for everyone else at the party and I got 1 gift (from my Godmother) I was completely DEVASTED. I mean, hysterical crying, running into a room and having to have my parents comfort me--that kind of devasted. Now I can laugh a bit at how har I took it, but at the time, wow. Tough feelings to deal with, you know?
Adds some Ds here and there. This keyboard has been Sakke-slammed so many times now it's a wonder it still works. Go Logitech for making a sturdy keyboard.
The Barbie clothes sounds like a neat Christmas present that I would have really liked when I was younger! I only had one brother, though, so I wasn't surrounded by cool boys toys all the time.
My mom made barbie clothes for me too. I loved them! They were southern bell dresses and sun dresses...most were strapless. I still have all my barbies and Paige use to play with them. She tried putting my barbie dresses on her barbie dolls but her dolls didn't have the boobs to hold up my dresses lol.
My grandma also had an extensive collection of Barbies and homemade clothes, but I remember she used to make super-conservative clothes. Like, Little House on The Prairie style. She got rid of all the trashy clothes that the dolls came in, too. My sisters and I used to hike up the hems and leave a few buttons undone, and she would sternly shake her head at us if she saw us.
