Δ Welcoming Racket's Luck
Haseo was chasing after a Lucky Animal, while Reimi ran after him protesting.
"No! Don't kick it!" she cried, sounding genuinely upset. Haseo stopped and turned around. "If I don't kick it, I don't get the stat boosts," he explained. "Sorry, it's how the game works."
Reimi pouted. "That doesn't matter! It's still just a harmless animal, it doesn't deserve to be kicked!"
Haseo could only sigh. She's starting to sound exactly like Atoli.
Glancing off, he noticed that the Lucky Animal had stopped running and had settled into a patch of grass where it thought it was hidden, an emote of happiness floating over it's head. Not for long though. Ignoring Reimi's protests, Haseo cautiously approached the Animal from behind. He was only a few feet away when suddenly a figure jumped in front of him and pulled out a tennis racket. This startled Haseo, who froze in surprise. What the hell?!
The figure, who he could now identify as Niou, swung at the Animal with the racket with incredible speed. It connected, and with a squeak the Animal went flying into the water nearby. Haseo could only stare, really.
"That's... not how you're supposed to do it," he said after a few moments of silence. Reimi stood off to the side, a look of shock on her face. Niou turned around and looked at both of them smugly. "My way was faster," he said, twirling the tennis racket with skill. "And less boring."
"You're both so mean!" Reimi exclaimed before storming off towards the Chaos Gate. Haseo decided to follow after staring Niou down. He did have to admit that swing was pretty impressive. He would have to see if the merchants in Mac Anu sold tennis rackets of any kind-- it did seem to be more effective, after all.
[is just... staring at the ceiling] ... Huh.
