don't worry about it inskeep. everyone goes through stages where they lose interest in people/things. it'll pass. i think its important to have a couple good friends though, i'd much prefer a few good friends to a lot of mediocre ones. you gotta pick and choose i think. as for x-country, don't get too hung up on it, because in the big scheme of things it really doesn't matter. you have next year and the year after and its not really your focus anyways. its good that you put in a lot of effort, you should feel good about that and walk away from it without any regrets. if you can do that, you're better for it- i can't and it dissapoints me (sort of/not really...more in theory than practice). haha and seriously don't feel offended that your parents won't leave you home alone- mine still don't (although they probably have reason not to) heh heh heh... but you'll find that those sort of things will happen eventually, and when they do you'll end up wishing you hadn't grown up so fast.
