Well, I lost. I did get 89 votes, though, which is more than the 8 I was expecting. Mostly the votes were in the 700 range, but I did beat 7 other people. I, the girl who no one knew; the girl who did nothing to further her campaign beyond tell all her friends to vote for her; I beat 7 people who actually tried to win. That’s good enough for me

A bit of a political rant

They want to make it so that every budget has to be approved by a general vote of the people. This sounds swell on the surface: give the people more control, less frivolous spending, etc
