Um, Farenheit 911? Paradise Now? Maybe Syriana (I haven't seen it yet, but I'm guessing). Hotel Rwanda (genocide ouch, and the US just sits there)? Kandahar? Hmmm, these are pretty much all about the middle east- you can tell where my head is. But I really can't think of any movies about how we've fucked things up in South and Central America. Maybe there aren't any?
Dude! I'm coming back to Chicago starting june 13th for like 6 weeks, and if you ever wanted to go out and play some day or evening, I will desperately need some rescuing from the son-of-eat-me-couch that lives in my parents TV room :-)

One movie I recommend everyone watch once (though still non-political) is To Live. But it is the saddest movie ever.
