I've realized that I'm completely replaceable to every one of my friends. Not just replaceable, though, I mean... I could be replaced in less than a week if I were to leave/die/etc. Sure, some would act sad if I was to leave... but I only know one who would be, and she would get over it pretty quick. It hurts because you're smart enough to perceive it, when most of your peers are not.

By nature most HS friendships are shallow and don't last very long. I've only got a very few friends left from that time in my life with whom I'm still in contact. And only because each of them is extraordinary in some way.

College, though, forces people to grow up, and prioritize about what's really important. Time doesn't get wasted with people you don't really care about, because time is short, and there are so many people available from which to choose friends.

Don't waste time missing people who won't miss you. It is not your insignificance that causes their disregard, it is only because they are shallow.

Thank you for this <3 I guess lately I'm just getting tired of people finding it so easy to be so shallow, and so easy to lose friends... and tired of being that friend. I think that sometimes I just carry around a sign that says "Walk all over me"... even though I thought I put it away months, years ago.

Most of the people you know will outgrow it in the next few years. A few never will.

And you know, I think a lot of us go through this in senior year -- I know I did. At least it gives you an idea on where to put your energies, and who to spend your time with.

And I'm a junior right now, so I have even more great fun to look forward to next year? Oh goody. Jk.. i just wish i had less time before i graduate, but i guess many in high school wish for that. These the best years of my life? Lies... But I'll find the good years, i'm sure. Just need to have more patience.
