Ahem.

This was an amazing short story, Nic! I can't believe how well you wrote each of them, it's like you're a writer for Doctor Who/Torchwood or you're actually the characters. The plot was amazing and so was the background you gave John when so little is known about him. I hope to see more fic from you soon, especially if it involves these three!

You know as well as I do how long it's been since I tackled a story beyond a drabble or a one-shot. I've also never wrote for John Hart before, and it was great to finally get the opportunity with this plot bunny! I've definitely been bitten by the writing bug. I hope to get some more ideas churned out soon. I'd like to mix it up some more, making characters interact whom we've never see meet each other. It can have explosives results, no? XD

This was such a fun romp from start to finish. Excellent work. I thought you did particularly well with Donna's characterisation. :)

Thank you! My partner made it for me. Basically from the first time I saw Combat, I thought of The Fast Show. And then I saw Something Borrowed, and the conversation about Mr Jones Sr being a Master Tailor, I knew that moment MUST be iconised like that IMMEDIATELY.

I enjoyed this story so, so much and this was a fantastic ending :)

The Doctor glanced towards her with a look of feigned confusion, about to stammer something unnecessary before Donna gave him a kiss on the cheek too, this one lasting a little longer than the one she had given John. ...I could totally picture this, the Doctor all put out at Donna seeming not to care that he's back.

Wonderful stuff!
