i was fighting. i was on the corner of bonhomme and south hanley, holding signs and passing out flyers. my group had made an appointment with kit bond (who, coincidentally, was a huge supporter--he spoke on behalf of the bill during the senate debates), but the police wouldn't let us in. they threatened to arrest us if we didn't leave. i thought about staying, anyway...but then i remembered that habeus corpus was dead. and i was scared. and i'm still scared.
