Outside the Entrance to the Ravenclaw Common Room

Ernie waits near the door to walk Lisa to her first class, in his book satchel there is a package wrapped in parchment paper. I hope Justin was right . . . He shifts nervously from one foot to the other as he waits for her to appear, ignoring the other Ravenclaws leaving for class.

Lisa leaves the Ravenclaw common room and emerges into the corridor, smiling brilliantly when she sees Ernie waiting for her. I knew he was a gentleman, but this is too good to be true!

"Hello, Ernie." Even though they've been a couple for days now, she still feels quite shy, looking down at her clasped hands before looking back up at him with a smile.

"Good morning, Lisa." He smiles as he takes her hand and begins walking her to her first class. "Have you been alright?"

"Yes! I feel wonderful." And she does. She never dreamed that she'd have a boyfriend kind enough to walk her to every class, but that's exactly what Ernie's been doing. Even during meals, she's caught him peeking past the other Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws to look after her. She's never felt so . . . well, valuable.

"Well, I'm glad of that." Reaching into his satchel with his free hand, he pulls out the wrapped package and hands it to her, smiling. "Happy Birthday, Lisa."
