The Great Hall

Lisa sits at the empty end of Ravenclaw table, drawing in her sketchbook, an arm curved around it to guard it a bit from prying eyes. She likes drawing in the Great Hall, when she can. Somehow it's just the right level of noise to help her focus. She glances up at the clock. Ernie should be out of Potions soon. She draws another curve on the page, ( Read more... )

Terry stops to look at the clock when he steps into the Great Hall. Potions is over any minute; no one here will notice that he skivved off most likely. There aren't any teachers around anyway.

He grins broadly when he sees Lisa Turpin sitting quietly at the far end of the table. He glances at the Hufflepuff table cautiously, making sure there won't be any interruptions, and then saunters toward Lisa, plopping down next to her and leaning an elbow on the table.

He leans over to her, and whispers in her ear, "My question is, do you?" When she looks at him in shock he grins.

He glances down at the sketchbook she's drawing in, and before she can hide it from him, he catches a peek at what--or who, rather--she's sketching. Figures it'd be Macmillan. I wonder how many drawings there are of him in there?

"Nice nose," he remarks on the drawing.

Lisa starts at the words, and looks down at the page. She thinks Ernie has a lovely nose, that it suits him just exactly . . . did she get it wrong? She examines it closely, her cheeks turning bright red with shame. She can't see what's wrong with it, and so she puts her arm around it and turns away from Terry slightly. When she puts her pencil to paper again, however, she finds she's lost all her confidence in the drawing. It probably doesn't look much like Ernie at all. She frowns.
