Glad to know the credit issue has been resolved.
Still I find it weird that they seemed to mke it so somplicated . Here in Canada they check your purchases and if they suddenly seem off they'll call you. I can't believe that you only got the bad news from your credit statement

That's not old. Old is when you notice a few hairs that started going gray at least a year ago.

Two years ago, my credit card company had a data breach and sent me a new credit card. Unfortunately, I was in California at the time and didn't know this until I went to check my balance online and saw the balance transfers to the new card number.
