I e-mailed him and got no response. Thanks for the reference, though. Another faculty member has actually shown interest, and the chess club will be represented at the Activities Fair next week.

he might have been out of town, summer is conference season. if a second email doesn't do it, stop by his office sometime.

How do you register for a club at the activities fair? I'm supposed to figure out how to register STOC (Student Technology Outreach, the C doesn't stand for anything).

I believe you could just use the online form. It's located here.
If STOC isn't already a registered club, I *think* you could e-mail Gina Casalegno (ginac@), or possibly Amanda Scheerbaum (scheerba@), but those are just guesses. If it's already an existing club, you're good to go.
