Here's the real answer:

Happy new year. and the resolution is:
- Stop wasting time.

This refers to many things.  In 2008 Harris will cease to be a waster of his own as well as other people's time.  I'd write more but I'd just be wasting time!

Dan Fogelberg just died.  If you don't know who he is, read about him.  He's the best songwriter you never knew, and he had a huge influence on my own guitar playing.  He toured with the Eagles, and if you listen to him on Phoenix you'll know why.   His stories,  his voice, and his wailing guitar are all ringing in my head.  He was 56.
