I'm feeling the exact same way. The thought of going back to school is enough to make me cry. Packing my bags? More tears. Yet the thought of transferring and starting over again, and the fear of the problem being me and not the school? Terrifying as well - and again, enough to make me cry. Add to that my last best friend (my roommate) is not coming back (granted I couldn't even trust her, so whats it matter?) and I'll probably get a random creeper.

Sheer panic and depression? Check. And the fact that I know the panic attacks will start again the second I cross the state border doesn't help the fact.

So here's a plan. A) Knowing we're both in the same boat makes me at least feel a bit better. B) If all else fails. Lets just switch places.

Best of luck tomorrow Lauren. And do try and come and visit to ski. And don't drive. The drive from Buffalo to Vermont blows. I learned that the hard way.

hey darlin. i'm sorry things in buffalo aren't working out like you'd hoped- it seems like quite a few people are feeling pretty disillusioned about college. i hope your search for a new place is successful. i'd love to visit while you're still 45 minutes from me though- let me know if you have the time :)

I can't say that I'm feeling the same way, or even that I necessarily ever felt that way up here at Niagara...but I do know how bad homesickness can get because I probably had it worse than ever back at the beginning. I hope that the semester is manageable, that things get a little better (even if you need to still transfer at the end of it), and that you can be at least somewhat happy. If you ever need a break, let me know...you can always come up to visit me because I have my own room (not very big), but it's still here if you need. Sorry I haven't really kept too much in touch, but I hope the semester isn't awful...and I'm just up here :)
