I know I often use this space to purge my animosity about my future MIL because she's so pushy about all this wedding stuff. That being said, I thought I would post the message I had waiting for me this morning from her:
Entitled: Mountaineer's Questions

Before I start, I want you to know that I am more than happy to call Mikki
on these questions, to take the monkey off your back, however, if you want
to just let me know.
Does the Mountaineer Club have a drawing and/or layout for tables for the
amount of people we're having? If so, can we get a copy?
Are there any additional table toppers that they might have? Taking into
account they are providing the white floorlength tablecloths without
additional charge?
If we wanted to upgrade the chairs do they have connections and/or special
deals they can get on white wood padded chairs?
Do they have any props? Such as, columns, candelabra, flower stands,
plants, outside floor runner for bride, etc we can use.
What is the absolute earliest we can enter to set up?
What king of graffetti do they permit to be thrown as bride & groom leave?
Have they ever had a wedding party release doves? Yes, real ones.
Do they have any pictures of previous wedding receptions we can look at for
ideas?
Do they have recommendations for cake people, florists?
What choices do we have for the ice sculpture? This might be a ? for
Pyramid.
I'm off to South Seattle Community College, Culinary Dpt tomorrow to check
out options for the cake along with stopping by Pacific Rim to check out the
silk flowers, ribbon etc I told you about. If I find anything, and I'm sure
I will, then we can set a day/time to meet; they're down on 4th South by the
Design Center.
I'll see you tomorrow @ 5:30 at the Mountaineer Club. I'll bring the blue
fabric samples I picked up
for the table tops. JoAnn's is having a super sale on Saturday and they
gave me a 40% discount coupon. I figure if we can finalize this then we can
get them made, it shouldn't take that long and it's one more thing off the
list.
