An example...

I know I often use this space to purge my animosity about my future MIL because she's so pushy about all this wedding stuff. That being said, I thought I would post the message I had waiting for me this morning from her:

WHAT THE FUG?! Are you kidding me with this? Hon, I hate to sound harsh, but this needs to be stopped...NOW! I am sure she won't appreciate taking a back seat, so perhaps you can delegate exactly what you want from her (more to keep her busy than anything), or let her know you appreciate her suggestions, but you can take it from here. This would push me over the edge. I know you don't want an unhappy FMIL at a wedding, but more importantly, you don't want an unhappy BRIDE at her own wedding! That's not right. Bleh!

I have tried just in the last couple weeks to assign her a task....cake. I told her what we wanted and she was going to research reasonably priced places and give us 2 or 3 to try. But, it all went haywire ( ... )

Oh my GOSH, that so intrusive!!! I can't believe the gall she has to get all up in your business like that! WoW!

You NEED NEED NEED to go get "The Other Woman" by Jane Green. I am in the middle of it right now and this lady sounds JUST like the woman in the book! You gotta go get it!

Seriously. How does Brian handle this?

Brian is totally stuck in the middle, but if you read my reply to Button, you'll see that he had a light-bulb moment today.

Brian wants to fix everything. So, he wants to call his mom and tell her to back the F off. But, I don't want him to do that b/c I don't want his mom's feelings hurt and I don't want to look like a brat. To use Button's word - BLEH!
