Jumping on the bandwagon....

The problem with LJ is we all think we are so close, but really we know nothing about each other. So I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. Ask away.
Then post this in your LJ and find out what people don't know about you.

Alright, my turn. If there was one thing during this wedding process that you wish could go differently, what would it be?

I think we all know the answer to this one!

The involvement of my future mother-in-law. I try to understand that this is a rite of passage for her as well, and I would never say or want others to think that I want to do this all on my own without help or input from those close to me. But, this is excessive.

Brian got a message from her this morning saying she had knocked a lot of people off the guest list on Brian's side and it was down considerably. I was so glad that something she did finally pissed him off, because he called her back and told her she wasn't to eliminate any of the guests without our input. Phew!

Phew! Are you ready for this? Brian and I met working in administration for a large local real estate company ten years ago. When he came on board at the office where I worked, I thought he looked familiar, but I couldn't place him. A week later I had figured it out. His brother was part of a group of my friends from high school days. We laughed about the connection, and found out that I'd been to his parents for parties when they were out of town ( ... )

You mentioned you are a skier... which mountain did you grow up skiing?

I grew up skiing at Steven's Pass. I have almost a family history there. My mom skied competitively for Steven's Pass Alpine Club (Spac) as did her brother's and sister. My uncles went on to coach after competing through college. My Dad learned to ski at Mt. Pilchuck and has taught for 37 years at Steven's. After my parents started their family, they taught up at the pass for Lyons Ski School (my grandmother's best friend). My sister went on to race with Spac. I raced a few years but wasn't super competitive. I started teaching when I was 14 and taught for 10 years. My sister is in her 4th season on Ski Patrol at Steven's and absolutely loves it ( ... )
