Whirlwind weekend:
My weekend (even without Brian) was really fun. Friday I hit up the casino with my favorite mom #2. We had such a good time talking, eating, plugging slot machines it was great. I spent the night at mom #2's house because she's a little afraid of the wind and her hubby was away for her son's bachelor party.
Saturday morning we lost power because of the storm. I headed back to my place to do a load of wash, then I lost power in the middle of my load. We had plans for Mom #2's future daughter in law's bachelorette and I was trying to wash what I was going to wear and shower & get ready. I ended up showering with a flash light and then headed back to mom #2's to dry everything (her power was restored).
Saturday night was Amy's bachelorette - we all had such a good time - my BF (her fiance's sister) came up with really fun games and we laughed a lot!
I spent the night again, but this time we add my best friend (mom #2's daughter) and her 7 month old twins.
Sunday morning I got to wake up and snuggle with the babies in my aero bed in the living room. I don't think I've had a morning that pleasant in over a year! The sun was out and I was snuggling with my fave niece & nephew. It was so fabulous!
Then, the bomb dropped. I cannot believe the officials in that Super Bowl game. I can't even talk about it. :(
I have to say, though, that I am glad the football season is over. Now Brian can bring his feet back down to the ground and be a little more realistic about what we have to get done in the next 3.5 months! Yes, can you believe it?!!?! Four months from Friday, we'll finally be husband and wife!
Right now the search is on for a house to purchase. We really have to get this done before Bernanke raises the interest rates more. By June things will be much higher than we've seen in the last 3 years.
I need to figure out how to talk with Brian's mom about all this wedding stuff. I am really tired of having to report to her on all of this, and since Brian had planned his trip to the Super Bowl, we haven't done a thing about the conflict with his mom.
I must order our invitations before the end of next week!!! Brian's mom STILL hasn't handed over the guest list and we'll need to tweak it a bit too, before we order.
I need to get a really handle on what needs to be done tonight. But, first I am walking Greenlake with my friend Jenny and then Brian and I are going to see 3 houses. Phew!
