High winds, near-record precipitation, weak layers and rain have set up the passes for some epic slides this year. This is a phenomenally dangerous time to think about going into the back country. Here are some pictures:

its so amazing how everything can change so damn fast. im sure itll be a little while til they finally reopen without a sense of security. I wasn't so enthusiastic about going up anyways and glad we didn't.

yeah serious. That big slide came out of Tunnel creek, right at the hairpin. There's logs and boulders in that slide! Goddamn.
