Given that my inspiration to exercise wears thin every few weeks, I've found that a temporary solution is to add a few new high-energy songs to my Ipod.  Alas, I'm out of ideas now that I FINALLY got "What Would Brian Boitano Do?" so I need help.  Do you guys know any good peppy songs that help you endure your jogging efforts?  Or that might help ( Read more... )

There are plenty of great songs you could put in to help pep it up.

However when I jog I tend to put on dance music. There is a podcast dedicated to running to house music specifically called: Podrunner

They vary on BPM from week to week and generally last about an hour. If you like that kind of music, it can be great since you will kinda be in a trance which can help running focus.

There are two albums that I find are good peppy songs for workouts: Run Lola Run soundtrack and Abba Teens (it's abba songs sped up).

I like dance music for exercising, too. I'm not really big into downloading music (although I should be since the radio stations out here leave much to be desired), but I did grab _Gia_ by Despina Vandi and I enjoy more than half the songs -- the title track was on the radio a lot a few years ago, you might recognize it once you hear it.

When I think it's time to reward myself, I'm going to order _Bole 2 Harlem_ off Amazon.

I should probably check out that Podrunner thing, myself. It's just that I don't exercise. When I'm sitting at my computer, I sometimes have a web page open to Pandora.

Hey, I just added you...if we are friends on Facebook we can be friends here, too, right?

David has already suggested Abba, but I'll pipe up that (back when I went to the gym semi-regularly) I liked a lot of just plain-old non-sped-up Abba. Dancing Queen was especially good.

I also like a lot of hard industrial stuff for exercise music, but I don't know if you're into that. If you are, I can make further suggestions.
