Maybelline has a foundation out called "Pure Makeup" that is 50% water and really sheer. It might do the trick for you if you find the right shade.

Sometimes I mix my regular foundation with a little moisturizer in a pinch.

I do the same. I use Lancome foundation and mix it in with Clinique moisturizer. My foundation lasts forever, and if i need more coverage I use loose powder. Both Clinique and Lancome (sorry only brands I use ) have tinted mosturizer/sheer foundation. Hope that helps..... Also are you using a mosturizer on your face pre makup? Thats a must too.

It's not a tinted moisturizer, but a light foundation. I use MAC's Studio Tint and it has an excellent dewy finish. Since the coverage is so light, it doesn't need to be too precise. However, since it's a department store brand you can try out all their shades and find the best shade.

And I used to have acne prone skin, too, and this never irritated it or caused breakouts.

Try the stila tinted moisturzer...gives you that fresh/dewy/natural look.
