I feel so sad that this is such an issue in my 'other country'. I feel like here we passed it as legal for the whole country and everyone kinda shrugged and went "wait, it wasn't already? huh..." and most the people here I know (in this or younger) generation don't even know what year that happened here because it was such a common sense non-issue. It breaks my heart that this has to be such a huge effing deal in the states. That it even needs to be such a focus. That it causes so much grief, and disgusting amounts of hatred.
