Steve Rogers often just walked around base, looking like he knew what he was doing, but it was mostly just a way to sort through his thoughts when he was worried that Tony might walk in on him sketching. He swore that he'd never let that happen again

Claire Bennet was hopelessly lost. She'd been on base for a little while, but all the hallways started to look the same. Part of her couldn't believe she'd been accepted to join here, but she was really glad she had. Well, she had been a little more excited earlier, but now she was growing more frustrated at not knowing where she was going.

Hearing a voice, she glanced up, putting on a small smile at when she saw a friendly face. "Hello. Um... yeah, I guess I'm a bit lost. Been wandering around and I'm not sure where I'm going. Could you show me around some, please?" she asked hopefully.

"Are you looking for someone?" he asked, trying to be helpful. "If you'll tell me who your Dad is, I'll help you find him." Because that's clearly the only reason she'd be on base.

"My dad? No... I work here," she explained, frowning. She knew she looked young but she'd hoped she might have looked old enough to be here. Apparently not. "I thought I was supposed to go to a briefing thing or something. Some sort of orientation?"

"Oh! Sorry," Steve smiled bashfully and made a small gesture down the corridor he'd just walked up. "The meeting room is just through here. Want me to show you?"
