Blah!

Well, after fourteen long years of dedicated service to the same place it's finally been revealed that my whole department is surplus to requirements and so as of 30th November 2008 I will no longer be employed at HFC Bank. Really don't know what I'll do next but it's about time I got off my lazy ass and started working in a job I actually enjoy. ( Read more... )

So sorry to hear about your redundancy hun - but hey, you are right - it will just give you that push to do something you will actually enjoy doing - i'm so glad i got made redundant which was still very stressful - but the kick up the arse i needed to change my career. Be a kept man for a bit if Jo will be on more dosh! (i can feel jo's scowl through the keyboard at that comment lol). Good job on the weight loss - there will be nowt left of you by the time we next see you laddie!

Oh - and, sorry you didn't make the Newt - it was way too hot in there and i think we all lost a few pounds in sweat just sitting down - a good night though.

Speak soon xxx

Yeah, it's a real shame we couldn't make it to the Newt. We were totally up for it until we realised that finances are going to be so tight for the foreseeable future. We'll definitely have to hang out soon though to make up for it.

Only a little bit worried about the job situation at the moment but I really am seeing this as a positive rather than a negative. At least that's how I hope to still see it by the time 30th Nov comes around.

Please refer to my further answer in regards to weight loss :D

P.s Did you know Carah has left Shiny Toy Guns?

18 lbs as of today :)
You have to remember I was a bit porky before I started this
weight loss so I don't see me fading away just yet. I have
another 23lbs to go before I reach my ideal weight of 160lbs.

OMG! Another 23lbs to go!!! That seems like rather a lot! Remember though - if you are gaining muscle, it weighs more than fat so if your biceps are coming along nicely you might want to reconsider your target weight loss goal. As long as you are toning up, you don't want to become some skinny wretch.

OMG!!!! Carah has left STG!!!!!!!!!!!

Dude, sorry to hear about the looming redundancy... Seems this is quite the year of change for you eh? Keep putting that positive spin on it, you're quite right, time for something new and less shit :)

Finally saw dark knight the other day, pretty impressed, though it probably could have been a bit shorter and still as good. Looking forward to Hellboy 2 now :)

Glad to hear the climbing up stuff is going well. I'm a firm believer that getting (and keeping) in shape is easy once you've found the activities that you love doing. Keep it up! Swimming's dead good too, I started swimming after every monster workout, and I could see the difference after just a week or two. Plus hanging out with bikini chicks is certainly no deterrent ;)

Also, Braid is the best thing I've played in ages.

I've spoken to you since this message so any response I could give would be totally moribund :)

Well, I haven't played since February but at the time I was playing a Level 70 Draenei Paladin called Auma. I also have a Level 70 Night Elf Warrior called Skinnypup and a Level 70 Undead Warrior called Tapeworm. I can't decide if to start a new character in time for 'Wrath of the Lich King' or carry on playing with Auma when it's released.

Still haven't made it to the swimming pool but my weekly visit to the climbing wall seems to be paying off
