COMING SOON: SKINSFANS "HOUSE PARTY" (COMPETITION)
WHAT IS THIS EXACTLY?
It's our epic hiatus-long skinsfans competition! We'll be dividing the community into four teams -- then announcing weekly challenges (fanart, writing, trivia, photography, fanvid, fanfic, and random challenges that will test your creativity). Also, you'll be able to earn points just from your regular posts here at skinsfans!
The competition will be ongoing (until we're off hiatus) and people can join a team at any time. Anyone who joins a team can participate in as many or as little challenges as they want. In fact, if you don't want to, you can choose not to participate in any of the challenges but still earn points for your team.

First of all, like we mentioned, there will be four teams -- every time an individual gets points, those points will go to their team.
There will be two ways to win points:
01. From regular participation in the community: meaning anytime someone posts an icon post, a discussion post, the latest news, photos, etc. they will get points for their team as long as they include their Team Name in bold (outside the cut) at the end of the post.
Points gathered from regular comm participation will be small:
Icons= +1 | Fanart (banners, wallpapers, etc) = +1 | Fanfic= +5 | Picspams= +5 | Fanmixes= +5 | Fanvideos= +5 | Discussion= +5 | Poll = +1
New Photos = +10 | News & Articles = +10 | New Videos (interviews, trailers, and/or fan encounters) = +10
02. From the competition challenges: meaning anytime someone participates and/or wins a challenge, they will get points for their team. doing challenges will be the best way to win the competition since these will be worth more points (from 30-100pts depending on the difficulty of the challenge)
Example of a possible writing challenge: For every person that participates in one = +30 | For the winners of that challenge = +50 points (1st place), +30 points (2nd place), +10 points (3rd place)
03. Deductions: if anyone personally attacks any member or members of the comm = -10
THE CHALLENGES:
...sorry, not giving those away just yet. But we can tell you that we already have a huge variety of challenges/contests ready (ranging from 'serious' to 'not so serious/crack' - a little something for everyone). Plus original challenges that we have yet to see any other skins community do yet!

The OUTCASTS - for any character who's ever claimed to "not give a fuck"

The USELESS - for any character that's ever been the "sidekick" or been forced into the "c storyline" often.

Note: Having a certain character associated with your group does not restrict what sort of content you can submit (i.e. someone on "Team Outcasts" could earn points by posting Katie/Naomi fics on skinsfans). What characters are on your team will only come into play in some of the challenges.
Like mentioned before, this contest will be inclusive and ongoing, meaning that points will be tallied continuously and the ultimate winning team will not be announced until the hiatus is over. However, there will be a monthly "team of the month" announced (the team with the highest votes) and prizes for those. Also, anyone can sign up for any team at any time. So if they don't sign up now, they can sign up months from now. The only thing is, anything they submit to skinsfans will not get them points until they're officially signed onto a team.
