Wow, I haven't blogged in an age and a half. I have a lot of pent-up bloggery in store, so watch out - I'm about to talk your ears off about (what else?) Bioware and my continuing love-love -relationship with it, particularly their latest release. Because what else do I have to blog about? My love life is on the same "meh" level (the necessary

ANYWAY. Uh, first HI. So nice to see you again! ♥ And even more exciting to see you after so long and see you squeeing over Mass Effect! I got into it because of 2, but I played 1 before I did 2 because I'm kind of crazy about doing things right. And it was definitely worth it for all the easter eggs and emails you get. I also totally agree about the default new!Shep being assumed a Renegade jackass. I mean, I know a lot of renegade Sheps who still kept Wrex alive; why do they assume he's dead? D: It's one of the reasons I love that I play on PC -- I found that if you don't want to replay ( ... )

I was reading this and had to stop to say - wait, you didn't get anything suggestive with Jacob? ... Really? I had to work to not flirt with him. He was like Kaidan was in 1 - unless you were rude, you were flirting. And sometimes when you were rude you were rudely flirting.
Really! I wonder what I did differently, because my main Shepard is also nice and talkative (and yes, I had that same problem with Kaidan when I was romancing Liara), and I figured the game would try to pair her up with Jacob right away. But no. Perhaps it has something to do with finishing his loyalty quest last.
The initial chatting line with Jacob always sounded suggestive to me anyway - "I'm more interested in just talking for a bit" sounds like she's about to follow it up with "you tight-pantsed hunk a' love, you". X ( ... )

And I'm just utterly impressed by your ability to not hit on Jacob accidentally. Though - "I'm more interested in just talking for a bit" sounds like she's about to follow it up with "you tight-pantsed hunk a' love, you". X) - I lol'd. It's a combination of how she says the line, and the way Shep leans against that table. I got that sort of thing all the time by accident.
The one conversation... where you ask if anyone's waiting back home for him. And you get him to tell you about how he saved the Citadel (speaking of, did you ever play that game on iPhone/iPod touch? It's amazing story-wise. There's totally some Jacob/Miranda going on there.) and he complains about how Shep was used as a poster girl then tossed out. If you go through all the dialogue options (how'd you save the citadel? anyone back home? ... I think there's something else, too) you're forced to flirt. The paragon, neutral, and renegade goodbyes are all flirts. You have to not ask him about saving the citadel or... I ( ... )

I'm reminded of talking with Zevran in Dragon Age - it's pretty damn hard to stay friends with him, you have to really pick and choose your answers and it can still lead to drama in the camp... But of course that fits Zev's character, the Slutty McSluttinton that he is. X)
speaking of, did you ever play that game on iPhone/iPod touch?Nope. I don't own such fancy thingamajiks. X) And I got a distinct Jacob/Miranda feeling from ME2 itself - I thought it was pretty much canon that they have a past, judging by the conversation after Jacob's loyalty quest, at least ( ... )
