I finished the book a little while ago and being the sappy emotional lefty I am, I cried: I couldn't help it. However, I did see the death of Dumbledore coming, although I thought it would be in the last book. And Snape? I honestly thought that man had some good in him, but nope... and it just seemed too easy to make him evil.
"I am not worried, Harry.... I am with you." ::tear::
Draco actually has some personality instead of the wannabe Voldemort follower. He showed fear in carrying out orders.
SECTUMSEMPRA... what a cool curse ^__^
Hermione unleashing the canaries on Ron. He totally deserved it.
"But I haven't got uncommon skilly and power."
"Yes, you have. You have a power that Voldemort has never had. You can-"
"I know! I can love."
^_^ Love conquers all.... awww, how sweet
I actually liked Harry in this book. He too had a personality instead of the indifferent hero of the day in the previous books, although in the "Order of the Phoenix," he showed some hints of individuality.
Luna Lovegood rocks my socks, esp. her commentaries at the Quidditch match:
"And that's Smith of Hufflepuff with the Quaffle. He did the commentary last time, of course, and Ginny Weasley flew into him, I think probably on purpose, it looked likt it. Smith was being quite rude about Gryffindor, I expect he regrets that now he's playing them- oh, look, he's lost the Quaffle, Ginny took it from him, I do like her, she's very nice...."
"And Harry Potter's now having an argument with his Keeper. I don't think that'll help him find the Snith, but maybe it's a clever ruse..."
"Harry's snogged Cho Chang. And Hermion snogged Victor Krum, it's only you who acts like it's something disgusting, Ron, and that's because you've got about as much experience as a twelve-year-old!" Ginny
Overall, I was impressed with the sixth installment of the Harry Potter series. I wish I could say more, but I am hungry and it's also close to eight in the morning. Maybe I'll post later.
