Hmmm, if you like humor anything by Dave Barry is good. So is Good Omens by Terry Pratchett. If you're looking for something more serious, Torey Hayden is an excellent author, and you can never go wrong with Stephen King!

Dave Barry rocks! Defintely a must-read if your in teh mood for a comedy or if you need something that you don't have to read cover-to-cover.

Lets see. Born blue is a really good book. Flipped is good also, not very high level reading but it's very very cute. Probably could read it in one day. The "a child called it" books are very good. So sad though.

If your a christian, The Chronicles of Narnia are SO good, they make you feel like the world is a better place, and that you want to help make it an even better one. Watchers by Dean Koontz is good if your in the mood for something a little creepy, and Watership Down is just a good book in general, however it's a little...
unique.
