Pie in the Sky

Oct 19, 2008 01:29

Between the unexpected game of Settlers and the unexpected conversation, it was a good evening.

So, a question that came up in the conversation: everyone talks about pie in the sky, but what kind of pie is it? Most pie fillings are heavier than air, after all.

Also, where does one find anti-gravity pie tins?

Mmmm pie... I do love pie. O_O I haven't had pie in months, THAT'S why I've really been bummed lately! I decree that there should be a pie party held, with a number of telescopes available so people may search for the pie in the sky and perhaps determine its flavor! All in favor?

There might need to be a "no throwing" rule for this party. Otherwise the temptation might be too great! :-)

Agreed! It's the obvious answer! Though my idea of heaven would also include some chocolate.

Now my brain wants to come up with a pie recipe that looks like a thunderstorm. Meringue on top for the fluffy thunderheads, chocolate on the bottom for the dark underside. Maybe white chocolate chunks for hail. I'm not sure what to use for lightning.

In no way a pie I could actually eat, but the concept is neat.

For lightning you could always do wintergreen lifesavers http://www.waynesthisandthat.com/wintergreen.htm
