Back at school after fall break. It was strange being home and then coming back. Before break I felt like I so badly needed it. I was exhausted and overworked and falling into a mundane schedule that was making my homework seem like chores rather than something where I could be creative and challenged and make something I like. If you like photo but you want more of a creative and hands-on feel, maybe you should take non-silver processing classes. I'm sure MICA has alternative processing. At UArts, the classes are actually listed under Printmaking. You can edit negatives by hand, do half photo/half drawing prints... that kinda deal. Plus, it can be really fun to just try old printing techniques that people did in like 1850. Or maybe I'm just a nerd, haha.

Yeah, my roommate is in an alternative processes class now (she's a photo major). She doesn't like it too much but I think it looks pretty cool. I think I gotta look into it but sounds interesting definitely.
