Rapid fire thoughts on DW 6.05 The Almost People
Not a bunch, because this ep was very much the first part of a two parter.
It is bad that I mostly want to know which of Team TARDIS is a Muse fan? The idea that it's the Doctor cracks me up far more than it should. I forsee 1000 (more) vids and songfics being born.
- Rory 'siding' with the duplicates is so very cool. Character continuity. Woot!
- Is this really where the Autons started? Although that implies they have time travel, since most encounters with the Auton have been in the 20th and 21st century. Have we had any evidence they time travel before? Uh, I just realized as I was typing that they maybe kinda do have time travel. There's a duplicate Doctor. Duh.
- I saw 11.5 coming from very far away, but that's all right. Very curious where this is going. But then anything that let's us see into the Doctor's inner life is good in my book, and there's always a potential gold mine when he's talking to himself. Uh, largely independent mirrors of himself that is. He talks nonsense to himself all the time.
