Our weekend was pretty low-key. Friday night I left the kids home with my hubby and my SIL picked me up and we drove 45 minutes away to a scrapbooking crop my other SIL was putting on. She's a Creative Memories consultant and several times a month she and her friends and anyone else who wants to go get together to crop. We were there from 6pm until about 11pm and by that time I was getting really uncomfortable so we decided to call it quits. I didn't get many pages made, but I did a lot of cropping in anticipation. I've put some pages together since we've been home but I'm still really far behind. I have all these pictures just waiting for me to scrapbook. I'm thinking about starting with the current and working my way backwards, I'm getting too far ahead on pictures, lol.

Anyways, Saturday hubby let me sleep in and got up with Ashlyn, thank goodness. I was exhausted. Kaycee got up shortly after I did at 10:30. He's definitely MY son, lol. I'm up late on the weeknights and have to be up at 7am on the weekdays, so I catch up on my sleep on the weekends, I guess. Anyway, the weather was super nice so Kraig spent the day working on yardwork/landscaping. We have about 6ft wide by ?? long on the North side of our house to turn into a garden spot. At our old house we had blackberries, strawberries, tomatoes, mint and various flowers and decided that we wanted to expand on that this Spring. But since planting season is in the next few weeks and I'll be a little bit "busy" my hubby has taken charge of this. He's also laying down landscape rock around the grass. We put the grass in last October but waited until now to finish our landscaping. He also bought a barrel to make a pond/fountain out of out back next to our patio. I can't wait to see it finished. He had one more gate to build and stain to close off our backyard so he worked on that as well. I'll have to take pictures soon and show off what all we've done since we moved in.

So, while he was doing that, I worked on cleaning the house and then when Ashlyn went down for a nap, Kaycee and I went outside and cleaned out my van. It seriously needed it, with 5-6 kids to drag around everywhere it was looking pretty ragged on the inside. So I made Kaycee crawl under the seats and find all the toys, etc. and then I vacuumed it and scrubbed the interior until it was shiny! Now, if only we can keep it clean, lol. Then I took the hose and washed down the exterior of the house and the sidewalks/driveway as the recent rains had really made the house look pretty dusty. Thank goodness construction is finished around us, the dust was almost unbearable there for awhile. It was nice to spend the day at home and work on projects. It felt so much like Spring here, but of course we'll probably get one last blast of winter before it really stays warm.

After dinner, I headed in to Target and Michaels and did some shopping for scrapbooking stuff. My paper supply was getting low and I wanted to scrapbook some more so I left for about an hour without kids and came home and spent the evening scrapbooking. Then I stayed up super late and paid for it by being sore and tired and restless all night once I went to bed. Slept in until 11am this morning and was relatively lazy throughout the day. Today was much colder than yesterday so I stayed inside. Did a little bit of laundry and that was it. I've been having a little bit of mild cramping come and go, but nothing really even worth mentioning. I think my body was just complaining from all I did yesterday.

Kraig made dinner and boy was that a nice break. He marinated elk steaks and put them on the grill, then I went to the store and picked up some fresh asparagus and a coconut meringue pie, and he steamed the asparagus and made stuffing. The steak was perfect and I ate two helpings of the asparagus and stuffing. The pie was okay, but a homemade one would've been better I think. While we ate dinner we watched Extreme Makeover Home Edition and then The Truman Show on TBS.

This coming week is Spring Break, so Kaycee doesn't have preschool so we let the kids stay up until 10, unintentionally. It was a nice relaxing weekend.
