Yeah, that one band size up and cup size down creates basically the same bra thing is really interesting. I was going to experiment with it when I was getting some new bras, but since I was ordering online I just went with the first bra style/size that fit okay.

Having been huge boobed since puberty I've always understood this. Also you have to watch for differences in sizing between not only brands but models in the same brand. Some of my bras are 36DDD others are 36E, others are 38F and I have one that is a 40DDD but they all fit the same.

Moral? Don't buy without trying on.
