If I had worked really hard to get into a program, and I found out that someone in my class hadn't had the work that hard because they'd already been basically writing plays in the real world (because it's not like you got in just because you know somebody or your dad is on the board of trustees or something) I'd probably be like, "damn, she must be good," but I wouldn't necessarily judge you any more harshly than anyone else. Worst-case scenario: if I really didn't like you personally and thought you were a big bitch and I found the subject matter of your plays distasteful (I'm remember Lang kids writing about cutting off eyelids with toenail clippers and fireworks magically shooting out of people's clitoris (clitorises? clitori?)) I might privately tell friends that you suck and I'm jealous of your scholarship ( ... )

Of course I agree with Angela. My intial reaction would be one of jealousy, but more about you being established than getting a scholarship. And it would make me work twice as hard to try to reach your level, so I guess you would be an ~*~inspiration~*~ to me.

Just fuck them in their goat asses, dude. Brevoort wouldn't have recommended you if she didn't think you could handle it. And we all know you can. But I know all of this is really more about the combination of feeling behind socially AND academically and you're all about having your shit together. But just... don't crack under the pressure! You've got to focus! This is your nooooooow~~~

Do you spend a lot of time fixating on how much you dislike and/or envy other people? Well...even if you do I bet it's a lot of different people for about a split-second each, rather than a laser-beam of hatred focused on one singular person. Or something! Anyway, my point is you have better things to do than be tormented by what other people are doing, and I bet your classmates do too.

Now go knock 'em dead, rockstar!
