As some of you may know, Mark Driscoll, the preaching pastor of Seattle's Mars Hill Church, released a new book about marriage this past week, co-authored with his wife, Grace. Wow. That's pretty sickening, especially the way he talks so callously about his wife being abused. How can anyone with a brain actually take anything this man says seriously? He uses the bible to justify his views, not the other way around. I hope his wife someday finds the strength to leave him and lead a healthy life in a proper relationship with a man who respects her and doesn't treat her past like a dirty sin that was her fault and is a personal insult to him.

Yeah. For a book that she is supposedly the co-author of, it doesn't sound like she had much to say about anything. As Anderson points out in her review, you'd think that she would be the one to write about her own assault/sexual abuse, not him. Which makes me curious to know whether she actually agrees with everything Mark wrote, or whether she's keeping her mouth shut because she thinks she's supposed to.
