Well-put! That's it exactly. I really doubt that the non-Christian media has paid any attention at all to yet another mealy-mouthed Christian marriage manual. These Christian authors don't seem to realize that non-Christian readers seldom read past the first Christian reference they come to.
Non-Christians aren't watching how Christian leaders treat each other, either, except that we sometimes make popcorn when they're having a particularly acrimonious dispute. The rest of the time, their ice-cream socials and ecumenical outreach are of slight interest to anyone outside their religion, as long as they're not trying to force other people to live by their beliefs.

I got a short email back from my sister regarding the stuff I said the other day, and she mentioned that someone put a brick through a window of her church, and that there were bullet holes in the glass of the nursery or something. I'm not much of a one for conspiracy theories, and I'm sure there are some moronic asshole out there who would do a thing like that, but I also wondered if there wasn't a chance that someone from the church had done it so that they could turn around and say, "look how persecuted we are!"
